Alopecia Awareness Month
September is officially recognized as Alopecia Awareness month, though anytime is a good time to support those living with alopecia. This is a great time to draw awareness to the issue of alopecia and a great time to help others know they are not alone!
Sharing your stories is a great way to uplift another that may be suffering in silence. It’s ok if you are not ready to share your stories publicly or in your private support groups, you can also comment kind and encouraging words to other members in your groups. People need words of kind encouragement to begin feeling more confident in wig wearing and find it comforting. We all know it is a marathon and not a sprint to get to a confident level of alternative hair wear or rocking a bald or balding head! Get out there and support your fellow Alopecia Warriors!!
