100% capless construction with thin weftings. Capless wigs are commonly referred to as an “open cap” wig due to the lack of the fine net material used in the top as on a Traditional cap. The entire cap is produced with weftings attached to thin stretch elastic lace making the wig better ventilated throughout and more comfortable as a result. Adjustable tabs at the nape and contoured ear tabs are characteristic of this cap as well.

Before You Measure

For the most accurate measurements:

  • Flatten your natural hair as you would when wearing a wig.
  • If you have long hair, secure it in a low, flat style.
  • If you normally wear a wig grip, liner, or wig cap, wear it while measuring.
  • Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight.

Measure your head

Step 1: The Circumference

This is the most important measurement. It determines the overall size of your wig cap.

  • Place the measuring tape at the center of your front hairline.
  • Follow your natural hairline above one ear.
  • Continue around the back of your head at the nape.
  • Bring the tape above your other ear and back to the starting point.

    Tip: Make sure the tape sits exactly where your natural hairline is.

    Record this measurement in inches.

    Step 2: Front to Back

    This measurement determines the depth of the wig from front to back.

    • Place the tape at the center of your front hairline.
    • Run the tape straight back over the crown (top) of your head.
    • Stop exactly at the nape of your neck (where your hairline ends at the bottom).

    Record this measurement in inches.

    Step 3: Ear-to-Ear Over Top

    This ensures the cap has enough depth to cover the top of your head from side to side without pulling.

    • Place the tape at the front of one ear where your hairline begins.
    • Run the tape straight up over the crown (highest point) of your head.
    • Stop at the exact same point in the front of your other ear.

    Record this measurement in inches.

    Which measurement is the most important?

    Your head circumference is the primary measurement used to determine wig size. The front-to-back and ear-to-ear measurements help ensure the wig fits comfortably and sits naturally.

    What if I don't have any hair?

    If you have little or no hair, estimate your natural front hairline and measure from there. A helpful guide is to place one hand flat on the crown of your head and another against your forehead—where your fingertips meet is typically close to your natural hairline. 

    Can I adjust my wig if it's slightly too big or small?

    Yes. Most wigs include adjustable straps or tabs that allow you to customize the fit for greater comfort and security.
